Integrates Nginx, MariaDB and PHP, thus enabling web developers to easily create online applications, using low system resources
The installation procedure may take a while to finish. The tool is wrapped in a user-friendly interface, similar to the one of XAMPP.
It is based on a regular window where you can immediately run, stop, reload and configure settings for Nginx, MariaDB and PHP, as well as view log details. To speed up the entire process, you can start and stop all services at the same time.
Overall program activity is shown on the bottom part of the screen. In addition, you can open the MariaDB shell and Wnmp directory, as well as change the default editor for configuring app details and viewing logs (default is Notepad).
Wnmp can be set to automatically run at system boot, with or without starting all programs. Plus, it can minimize to the system tray area, as well as automatically check for updates on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
The software application does not put a strain on computer performance, as it runs on a very low amount of CPU and RAM. Since it can be minimized to the tray, the tool does not interrupt normal user activity.
We have not come across any problems in our evaluation, since the tool did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. All in all, Wnmp comes in handy to all web developers who work with Nginx, MariaDB and PHP.
