Test software equips scopes for 5G NR analysis

SignalVu 5G NR analysis software from Tektronix enables engineers to diagnose complex signal interactions on a single oscilloscope. Offered for 6 Series B mixed-signal oscilloscopes (MSOs), the software can be used to perform critical 5G NR measurements per 3GPP specifications. And the ability to diagnose faulty signal interactions on a single scope reduces the need for painstaking correlation between multiple instruments.

Tektronix created the analysis package using 5G algorithms developed by NI, an industry leader in automated test and measurement. The analysis package enables pass/fail testing of the 5G NR physical layer to qualify transmitter designs in accordance with the 5G NR standard established under the 3GPP release of 15/16 test specifications. It includes important signal quality measurements, including error vector magnitude (EVM), adjacent channel power (ACP), spectrum emission mask (SEM), and power versus time (PVT).

The 5G NR measurement option for SignalVu vector signal analyzer software is available now. In addition to the 6 Series B mixed-signal scopes, the analysis package works with DPO70000SX oscilloscopes and the RSA500 and RSA5000 real-time signal analyzers.
