Download Gavilya / RC 1

For better or for worse, it’s a commonality nowadays to have multiple launchers for your favorite games. We all know the situation: you have a few games on Steam you want to play, but there’s also some stuff on Epic and Origin that you dabble in from time to time.

It seems as though the competition is fiercer than ever, and while that’s a good thing, one can’t argue that it’s cumbersome having to install so many game launchers. Gavilya aims to be the one-stop-shop for the titles on your computer: add all your games in the launcher, so you can have everything in one place.

Setting it up

There isn’t anything particularly noteworthy about the installation process. To get the app fully up and running, you’ll have to add your games in. This can be done in a few ways: either through Steam or Microsoft Store, provided they’re from those storefronts.

To add a game from Steam, you’ll need its App ID, which can be taken from its URL. The integration helps users fetch the game’s cover, as well as achievements and user ratings. The process is much the same when adding a Microsoft Store game.

Add your stuff

While the launcher doesn’t provide integration with Epic’s or EA’s launchers, you can nevertheless add those games yourself. Simply click Add, and the program will guide you through the process.

At a glance, the Home tab displays your most recently played games, and you can also add your favorite titles there for easier access, while navigating to the Library tab shows you everything you’ve added.

In this day and age, it’s not a bad idea to have a program like Gavilya at your disposal. If more games move over to bespoke launchers, then having such software becomes a necessity.
