Abracon Introduces New Miniature CMOS OCXOs from 10 MHz to 40 MHz for Extreme Environments

Abracon has introduced the AOC75 Series, a line-up of high-precision Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillators (OCXOs) that are housed in a very small surface-mount package measuring 7.5 x 5.5 mm. These OCXOs are offered with a frequency stability of 30 ppb over an operating temperature range from -40°C to +95°C or a frequency stability of 50 ppb over an operating temperature range from -40°C to 105°C. This feature allows AOC75 to be used in more extreme environments than most OCXOs that only operate up to +85°C.

The AOC75 Series is supported by an SC-cut, high-Q resonator-based design that offers tight frequency stability over a wide operating temperature range. Offering a CMOS-compatible output over a frequency range from 10 MHz to 40 MHz with a phase noise of -110 dBc/Hz (at 100 Hz offset), these OCXOs achieve low long-term aging and excellent phase noise performance in a compact form-factor. They require a DC supply voltage of 3.3 V.

These OCXOs are ideal for Ethernet Networking: IEEE 1588 and SyncE, 5G: small cells, remote radio units, active antenna processing units, and optical networking: Stratum 3E applications.
