Nintendo’s official Black Friday deals have arrived alongside two very welcome surprises: $75 discounts on the Nintendo Switch OLED and Nintendo Switch holiday bundles at Best Buy and Target. Both bundles include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a 12-Month Switch Online membership. The Switch OLED Mario Kart bundle is available for only $275, while the regular Switch Mario Kart bundle is down to $225.
Nintendo Switch consoles without $80 worth of free stuff–Mario Kart 8 Deluxe costs $60, Switch Online is $20–have never received discounts like this from a major retailer, so these Black Friday offers are by far the best Switch console deal we’ve seen. As such, it’s not surprising that Best Buy sold out of its online inventory within a day. Target is also sold out of the regular Switch bundle, but you can still get the Switch OLED bundle for $275 as of our last update (November 24 at 8 PM PT).
Black Friday Nintendo Switch Console Bundle Deals
- Nintendo Switch + Mario Kart 8 Deluxe + 1-Year Switch Online — $225 (
$300) - Nintendo Switch OLED + Mario Kart 8 Deluxe + 1-Year Switch Online — $275 (
$350)
Save $20 on Switch Controllers:
If you want extra controllers for multiplayer or a more traditional gamepad for playing the Switch on your TV, you’re in luck: Along with this unprecedented pair of console deals, the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and Neon Red/Blue Joy-Con Controller Set have received their biggest discounts yet. You can save $20 on each, dropping the price of the Pro Controller to $50 and the pair of Joy-Con Controllers to $60.
- Switch Pro Controller — $50 (
$70) - Neon Red and Blue Joy-Cons — $60 (
$80)
$275 (was $350)
The Nintendo Switch OLED Mario Kart bundle comes with the console with white Joy-Cons and matching white docking station, a 12-Month Switch Online membership, and a voucher to claim Mario Kart 8 Deluxe from the Nintendo eShop. You’re getting $80 worth of additional content compared to buying the console ($350), Mario Kart ($60), and Switch Online ($20) individually. And now you’re also getting a $75 discount on top of that.
Along with the sharp, larger OLED screen, you’re getting numerous quality-of-life upgrades compared to the base model. The Switch OLED has a wider, better-designed dock with an ethernet port, improved speakers, and double the internal storage space (64GB). Plus, the built-in kickstand is significantly improved for tabletop mode.
The discounted Switch OLED holiday bundle is available at Target and Best Buy. It’s unclear if any other retailer will have this offer.
$225 (was $300)
The base model Switch for $225 would be a fantastic deal even without any extras, but you also get a voucher for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a 12-Month Nintendo Switch Online membership. This is a truly phenomenal deal.
It comes with a pair of Neon Red and Blue Joy-Con Controllers, Joy-Con Grip and wrist straps, docking station, HDMI cable, and AC adapter.
If you think you’ll spend a lot of time playing in handheld mode, the OLED is well-worth the extra $50 for the better screen. But for those who play more on their TV and tend to leave the Switch in the dock, opting for the regular Switch probably makes more sense.
This discounted Switch bundle is also available at Target and Best Buy, and it remains to be seen if other retailers will have matching offers.
Nintendo Switch Black Friday Game Deals
A bunch of notable Switch-exclusive games are featured in the Black Friday sale, too. Super Mario Odyssey is only $30, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is down to $40, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons is also up for grabs for as low as $35.
Note: Target is offering an additional $5 discount on some of the official Black Friday Switch game deals.
