The SATELLITE Conference & Exhibition is set to return to Washington, D.C., from March 10-13, 2025, bringing together over 14,000 attendees and 450 exhibitors at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. This year’s event introduces exciting new features, including GovMilSpace 2025, the Mobility Forum conference track, a dedicated Meeting Hub, and the Tech Forum, now integrated directly onto the show floor.
According to Jeffrey Hill, Executive Chairman of SATELLITE 2025, the event is designed to foster industry growth and provide professionals with countless opportunities to connect, learn, and collaborate. With an impressive lineup of speakers, including top executives from major satellite providers and a record number of government officials, this year’s conference will deliver deeper industry insights and enhanced networking opportunities.
One of the most anticipated additions is GovMilSpace 2025, developed in partnership with Defense Daily and the Satellite Industry Association. This dedicated program connects government and military satellite service providers with key decision-makers and features 16 sessions covering satellite imagery intelligence, upcoming missions, commercial partnerships, and the role of AI in defense applications. A dedicated GovMilSpace Pavilion will also be integrated into the show floor, providing exclusive networking opportunities.
Another major highlight is the Mobility Forum, which will explore mobile satellite and hybrid connectivity applications for consumers, businesses, and underserved regions. Experts from both the satellite and terrestrial industries will discuss ways to enhance global connectivity with high-speed, cost-effective solutions. Meanwhile, the Tech Forum will now be centrally located in the Tech Theater on the show floor, featuring sessions on consumer demands, product innovations, and the latest engineering breakthroughs in the satellite industry. The CTO Roundtable, sponsored by Qorvo, will open the Tech Forum with discussions on the future of space and satellite hardware.
For attendees looking to maximize networking, SATELLITE 2025 is introducing new interactive spaces such as the Meeting Hub, where participants can schedule one-on-one meetings, and the Brew Lounge, a relaxed environment for informal discussions and company-sponsored receptions. The event will also feature guided and self-guided exhibit hall tours, helping attendees navigate the massive exhibition space and connect with the right vendors.
Beyond the exhibit hall, SATELLITE 2025 will offer a variety of must-attend forums and networking events. The Leadership Forum and Investment Forum will provide exclusive access to C-suite executives, investors, and industry pioneers, while the Start-Up Space Competition will spotlight emerging satellite and space companies. SGx 2025, a TEDx-style event developed with the Space Generation Advisory Council and the Future Space Leaders Foundation, will feature dynamic presentations from young professionals and industry leaders.
Networking opportunities will begin on March 9 with the Birds of a Feather Meet-Ups, followed by the Spring into Orbit Welcome Reception, the largest industry gathering of the year, sponsored by Telstra on March 10. Additional daily networking events include the Rise and Shine Coffee Service, exhibit hall happy hours, and mid-day breaks. Special events such as the MSUA Mobility Satellite Innovation Awards Luncheon, the Happy Hour Rocket Show, the SATELLITE 5K, and offsite receptions will further enhance the attendee experience.
This year’s keynote speakers include SES CEO Adel Al-Saleh, who will headline the Opening Day Luncheon; Telesat CEO Daniel Goldberg, speaking at the Opening General Session; Vice Admiral Frank Whitworth, who will open GovMilSpace; and Tom Mueller, CEO of Impulse Space & Founding Employee of SpaceX, who will deliver the Wednesday Opening Keynote.
