Sony has started issuing compensation for PSN’s recent dramatic downtime, which lasted almost 24 hours.
The company promised it’d make good on the loss of service by providing all paying PS Plus members with an additional five days of service, free of charge. The additional time, the company said, would automatically be added to all eligible subscribers’ accounts.
And we can confirm that this is being processed now. We checked the expiry date of our most recent PS Plus Premium payment and can confirm five additional days have been added.
You can check this for yourself by finding your own receipt in your inbox, and then comparing the denoted expiry date to your current membership info.
To do this, login to the PS Store through here, click on your avatar icon, select ‘Subscriptions Management’, and refer to your next payment date. If it’s five days later than what was listed on your most recent receipt, then you’ve received your extension.
