Murata has introduced the new Type 2FY Tri-Radio Module, featuring cutting-edge Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth® LE 5.4 Dual-Radio technologies to upgrade IoT projects. Powered by the robust Infineon CYW55513 chipset and Arm® Cortex® processors, this tri-band module delivers exceptional performance across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequencies.
The Type 2FY supports Wi-Fi® 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax + Bluetooth® 5.4 BR/EDR/LE up to 143 Mbps PHY data rate on Wi-Fi, 3 Mbps PHY data rate on Bluetooth and 2 Mbps PHY data rate on Bluetooth® LE. The WLAN section supports an SDIO 3.0 interface and the Bluetooth® section supports a high-speed 4-wire UART interface and PCM for audio data. The CYW55513 implements highly sophisticated, enhanced collaborative coexistence hardware mechanisms and algorithms, which ensure that WLAN and Bluetooth® collaboration is optimized for maximum performance. In IEEE 802.11ax mode, the WLAN operation supports rates of MCS0–MCS11 (up to 1024 QAM) in 20 MHz channels for data rates up to 143 Mbps.
Its compact 7.9 x 7.3 x 1.1 mm form factor makes it ideal for integration into size and power-sensitive applications. With low power consumption and rich peripheral interfaces, Type 2FY ensures high reliability and superior connectivity capabilities.
