PCTEL Adds I/Q Streaming, I/Q Capture, NTN, and V2X Testing Capabilities to its Gflex Scanning Receivers

PCTEL, a provider of wireless technology solutions, including purpose-built Industrial IoT devices, antenna systems, and test and measurement products, has announced Gflex scanning receiver release 7.0, featuring new I/Q streaming and I/Q capture, NTN (Non-Terrestrial Network) testing, and C-V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) testing capabilities. The Gflex is now a more versatile, portable spectrum analyzer, network testing, and monitoring solution. It combines VITA 49.2 I/Q streaming and capture with simultaneous 2G- 5G cellular, NTN, and V2X signal decoding capabilities—all in a portable and durable superheterodyne receiver with a wide sub-8 GHz and mmWave band range.

The Gflex offers flexible data connectivity options for easy integration of I/Q data with a wide variety of advanced applications. The Gflex’s simultaneous NTN and terrestrial 4G/5G measurements make it easy to verify coverage, identify adjacent channel interference, and ensure regulatory compliance for NTN signals.  This release also expands Gflex’s V2X testing capabilities to include PSSCH decoding.

At MWC Barcelona 2025, PCTEL demonstrated how Gflex’s I/Q streaming capabilities can be used to identify wireless signals in real time using DeepSig’s OmniSIG spectrum awareness software.
