Quantic MWD (Microwave Dynamics), a division of Quantic Electronics, continues to advance precision microwave and millimeter-wave technology with its Whisper Series Phase Locked Dielectric Resonator Oscillators (PLDROs). Engineered for demanding RF and microwave applications, the Whisper Series operates across frequencies from 8 to 18 GHz, offering a combination of low phase noise, high output power, and exceptional stability.

Developed by Quantic MWD’s engineering team in Irvine, California, the Whisper Series represents a significant advancement in dielectric-based frequency control and timing technology. The series is engineered to provide precision and consistency for mission-critical systems where timing accuracy and low noise are paramount.

The PLDROs are available in both X-band and Ku-band configurations and can be fully customized with phase-locked loops, tuning options, and SMA-female RF connectors. Space-qualified versions are also available for high-reliability aerospace and defense applications.

The Whisper Series PLDROs deliver a stable output power of +17 dBm, achieving low phase noise performance of -110 dBc/Hz at a 10 kHz offset and -105 dBc/Hz at a 1 kHz offset. These oscillators are designed for environments that require uncompromised performance, maintaining stability and reliability even under harsh conditions.

Typical use cases for the Whisper Series include satellite communications, radar systems, base stations, portable transceivers, and test equipment applications that demand superior frequency stability and spectral purity.
