Alaris mWave Introduces 40 / 75 GHz biWave V/W-Band Millimeter-Wave Antennas

Alaris mWave has introduced the biWave V/W, a millimeter-wave antenna designed for wireless backhaul and infrastructure applications. The antenna supports operation in both the 40 GHz (V-Band) and 75 GHz (W-Band) frequency ranges and uses dual-linear polarization. The biWave V/W (V-band and W-band) can be configured to operate at specific frequencies within each band. This allows it to be used in networks that require flexibility in spectrum planning, including dense deployments where efficient use of available spectrum is important.

The antenna provides narrow beamwidths down to 0.3 degrees, gain levels up to 49.4 dBi, and cross-polarization discrimination greater than 35 dB. These characteristics are intended to reduce interference and support stable, high-capacity point-to-point links. Designed for outdoor installation, the biWave V/W includes a corrosion-resistant structure and an aluminum mounting system. It is rated to withstand wind speeds up to 125 mph and ice-loading conditions. Fine-adjustment mechanisms for azimuth and elevation are included to ensure accurate antenna alignment during installation.

Manufactured in Windham, Maine, the antenna is supplied pre-assembled and is compliant with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) standards. It is intended for use in applications such as data backhaul and telemetry networks.
