Valve import records point to possible “Game Console” restock
But is it Steam Machine or Deck?

Valve may be preparing for the Steam Machine launch, according to new import tracking shared by Brad Lynch. The VR and Valve hardware watcher says Valve has received “a ton” of products listed as “Game Consoles” in recent weeks at its US distribution warehouse.
Lynch says the importer is Ingram Micro, which handles Valve’s distribution and warehouse operations in Carol Stream, Illinois. He also notes that the records he tracks sometimes include more information than the public customs pages show.

The shipment name does not confirm Steam Machine. The records reportedly use a broad “Game Consoles” description, which could also include Steam Deck restocks or a mix of Valve hardware. Lynch called Steam Machine a “safe assumption,” but also said Steam Deck restocks could be part of the same shipment batch.
Previous shipments were just weeks prior to the launch
Lynch previously spotted a large “Wireless PC Controller” shipment before Valve confirmed the new Steam Controller launch. That controller is now scheduled for May 4 at $99 in the US, €99 in Europe, and £85 in the UK, while Steam Machine and Steam Frame still do not have public pricing.
Valve announced the new Steam Machine in November 2025 with a semi-custom AMD Zen 4 CPU, an RDNA 3 GPU with 28 Compute Units, 16GB DDR5 memory, and 8GB GDDR6 graphics memory. The company later moved away from the early 2026 wording and said the hardware lineup is still planned for 2026, with memory and storage costs affecting final pricing and timing.
Valve Steam Machine in SteamOS 3.8.3
Valve has also added more Steam Machine support in the latest SteamOS 3.8.3 beta. The update notes list “even more support for upcoming Steam Machine hardware,” after SteamOS 3.8 already added initial support for the device.
