
KRYTAR, one of the leading companies in the design and production of ultra-broadband microwave components has introduced two new ULTRA+ 90-Degree Hybrid Couplers that deliver 3 dB of coupling over the frequency range of 10.0 to 40.0 GHz in compact packages. KRYTAR’s new family of ULTRA+ 180-Degree, 3 dB, Hybrid Couplers offers some of the tightest specifications available on the market.
KRYTAR’s new ULTRA+ hybrid couplers Model ULTRA3100400 and Model ULTRA3100400K deliver exceptional broadband versatility from 10.0 to 40.0 GHz (X- though Ka-Bands) with excellent phase and amplitude matching. Typical specifications include 3 dB Coupling; Amplitude Imbalance: ±0.8 dB; Phase Imbalance is ±18 degrees; Isolation is over 14 dB; Maximum VSWR: 1.6 and Insertion Loss of less than 1.5 dB. These new models perform many functions, including splitting and combining signals in amplifiers, switching circuits, and antenna beam-forming networks used in a wide range of commercial and military applications.
Both Model ULTRA3100400 and Model ULTRA3100400K offer Input Power Rating of 20 W average and 3 kW peak. The ULTRA3100400 comes with industry-standard 2.4mm Female Connectors, while ULTRA3100400K comes with industry-standard 2.9mm (K) Female Connectors. The compact packages measure just 1.10 inches (L) x 0.86 inches (W) x 0.50 inches (H), and weighs only 0.9 ounces (2.4mm connectors) and 0.8 ounces (2.92mm connectors. Operating temperature is -54° to 85° C. These couplers are typically available from stock to 30 days, ARO.
KRYTAR’s New line of high-performance ULTRA+ 90 Degree Hybrid Couplers offer ultra-wideband frequency coverage from 0.5 to 40 GHz (UHF- through Ka-Bands) in single, compact packages, and offer low insertion loss, high directivity and tight coupling. These hybrid couplers offer excellent solutions for many ultra-broadband applications including electronic warfare (EW), mmWave, 6G, 5G NR (New Radio), Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E, SATCOM, radar, MIMO (Multiple-Input and Multiple-Output) radio links, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beamforming, and EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) testing environments. The couplers can be also be manufactured to meet military specifications.
