ActiveXperts Network Monitor – Download

ActiveXperts Network Monitor is a tool that keeps an eye on computers, servers, websites and devices in a network, to make sure everything is working properly. If something stops working, gets slow or behaves strangely, the app notices it and immediately sends you a warning.

You can tell the app exactly what to monitor

The interface looks like a classic Windows-style dashboard with multiple panels. On one side you have a list of devices or checks being monitored, and in the main area you see their status shown with colors and numbers so you can quickly tell what’s working and what’s not.

Before the app can monitor anything, you need to configure the checks. For simpler checks like Ping or basic network stuff, the app provides a wizard to guide you step by step. Then again, for more advanced checks, the app provides a full setup window where you can fill in things manually. Both configurations are pretty detailed, so take the time to look at all options to make sure that the app focuses on exactly what you want to monitor.

The program is described as agentless, so it runs on the main computer and from there it checks other devices over the network using standard methods. For this, it uses the built-in WMI Windows feature, so you can query things like CPU, memory, disk space, running services or installed software effortlessly.

Packs several ready-made scripts

If you’re looking to monitor common things, then ActiveXperts Network Monitor already provides scripts that can handle these checks. You don’t need to start from scratch, as you can take the scripts, tweak a few things if needed and have the monitoring up and running quickly.

The app can collect data over time and present it as reports and graphs. The graphs can make it easier to see problems before they become serious, like a server that’s gradually running out of disk space or a network link that’s getting overloaded.
