Naru Torrent is a torrent client for Windows that focuses heavily on speed and simplicity rather than trying to pack a huge number of advanced features.
It doesn’t appear to offer a revolutionary new way of downloading torrents. Instead, its appeal is being a lightweight, modern alternative that avoids some of the clutter and advertising found in certain popular torrent clients.
Has a strong focus on download speed
The interface has a dark, modern design with your torrents displayed in a main table showing their name, size, progress, status, download speed, and remaining time. On the left, there is a simple sidebar for filtering torrents by status, such as downloading, seeding, completed, paused or having errors.
When you select a torrent, the bottom section shows more detailed information about it, including its location, size, speed, number of seeds and peers, and other connection details. You can control how and when the app download and uploads torrents such as limiting speeds, scheduling downloads, organizing them with tags, deciding how long to keep sharing them and even automatically downloading new content from RSS feeds.
The application is specifically designed to try to saturate your available Internet connection, so its main selling point isn’t a huge collection of unusual torrent-management tools. It’s a fast, straightforward torrent client with searching built in, while also being free and ad-free.
Includes its built-in torrent search
Naru Torrent has a search function built directly into the app, so you don’t always have to open a browser and search for torrents elsewhere. You can search sources that offer public-domain and legally shareable content, such as movies, music, audiobooks, software, and other files from places like the Internet Archive.
Normally, you would search a website for a torrent, copy its magnet link, open your torrent client and paste the link. With this tool, you can search supported sources from inside the client and start the download directly.
