This benched Lenovo Googlebook 2-in-1 tablet poses for another high-quality leak

Credible leaker Evan Blass recently posted images of the unreleased Lenovo Googlebook 2-in-1 on X. The image, an enhanced version of the one leaked last month, shows the Googlebook with a tablet-like layout, a kickstand at the back, and a slimmer keyboard than other options in the lineup.

The Googlebook branding on the 2-in-1 device from Lenovo’s left armrest is fairly evident. Another button on the right appears to turn off the keyboard, presumably to prevent accidental touches. A tiny Bluetooth logo also appears alongside this switch, suggesting the Googlebook might even work with the keyboard detached, as OnePlus tablets do.

Blass has shared another high-resolution image revealing the camera on the back, alongside the glow-bar that we also see across the entire lineup. This light strip currently only shows the battery level, but we hope a good Samaritan can put it to better use, just as one person did with the Pixel 11’s HiLight.

While Blass hasn’t spilled the beans on the specifications, earlier leaks pointed to a 13-inch display and a MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910. The same leak also indicated the Googlebook would be called Lenovo Googlebook Duet — in line with Lenovo’s previously launched Chromebook Duet with the same form factor.

Currently, most four out of five Googlebook models feature a clamshell design, while only the Acer Googlebook 14 comes in a 360º convertible format. It’s evident why Google might have wanted to bench the 2-in-1 Googlebook, since that would have taken away from the “laptop” aura that Google is seemingly going after.

With such refined renders already in place, we expect Lenovo to release the device sooner or later — it would just be without all the glamor its regular laptop-shaped sibling was a part of.
