The latest Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch firmware update has gone live, and those who own these two systems can download version 23.0.1 right now.
Today’s patch is all about addressing a previous issue. With version 23.0.0, some games would take a long time to start, pause, or close. This update is intended to fix that specifically.
The official notice from Nintendo is as follows:
Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch version 23.0.1 update patch notes
General
- Fixed an issue from system version 23.0.0 where software occasionally took a long time to start, pause, or close.
Version 23.0.0, which was distributed earlier this month, was pretty massive. It included new features, enhancements, and more. Among the highlights are VRR support in docked mode, Mii Maker music, and GameChat improvements. This is just the tip of the iceberg, but you can get the full details on this update here in case you missed it.
