Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days start today and end tomorrow. We’ve already looked at the best phone deals for the US. Here we will take a look at the best tablet offers, also smartwatches and some Amazon devices.
Table of Contents:
Tablets
Apple launched new iPad Airs earlier this year, an 11” and a 13” model. The one major difference between these and the 2025 versions is the Apple M4 chipset with 4 extra gigs of RAM for 12GB total. It also has faster Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and Bluetooth 6.0. Even with all this power, the Airs still use 60Hz IPS LCDs. Multitasking on an external display via Stage Manager is enabled by the USB-C 3.1 Gen2 port.
If you want something more portable, the Apple iPad mini (2024) runs on an Apple A17 Pro chipset, which enables Apple Intelligence. It has an 8.3” display (60Hz IPS LCD) and a USB-C 3.1 Gen2 port.
Samsung didn’t refresh its 11” flagship tablet, which leaves the Galaxy Tab S11 as the current model. It has a 120Hz OLED display and a Dimensity 9400+ chipset with full DeX support, both wired (over the USB-C 3.2 port) and wireless. There were no Tab S12s on offer.
The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ are also from last year – they have 10.9” and 13.1” IPS LCDs, respectively. Both are powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset with expandable storage. However, their USB-C ports are only USB 2.0. The smaller tablet has an 8,000mAh battery, while the larger model has a 10,090mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite also has a 10.9” 90Hz LCD, but it’s not an IPS panel. This one is a cheaper alternative and uses the older Exynos 1380 chip, also with expandable storage. The battery capacity is the same at 8,000mAh.
Even cheaper is the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+. This one has a similar 11” display, a 90Hz LCD, and a smaller 7,040mAh battery. It switches to a Dimensity 7300 chipset and retains the microSD slot.
Smartwatches
The new Apple Watch Series 12 updates the chipset over the Series 11, an S11 instead of S10, which enables the new Apple Intelligence features. Additionally, it has new biometric sensors, which allow it to read your heart rate more often.
Note that all of these watches have versions with cellular connectivity – we’ve noted the price premium for that. On the Apple Watch Series 12 this means 5G, while the others have 4G.
The Apple Watch SE 3 is still good too – it uses the older S10 chip with 64GB storage, just like the Series 10 and Series 11. There’s no ECG, but it does have the heart rate reader.
Samsung’s new Watch9 series isn’t part of the discounts, so we turn our attention to Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic from 2025. That is still the latest model with a rotating bezel if that’s your thing. However, these use the older Exynos W1000 chip. Both have ECG.
The 4G version of the Google Pixel Watch 5 also has satellite SOS – it’s a good backup in case you lose your phone (or if your phone lacks satellite connectivity in the first place).
Amazon devices
Amazon has discounted its Kindle Scribe e-readers by 24% – there’s a monochrome version and a Colorsoft version. These have larger 11” displays, so they are better-suited for reading documents than the typical Kindle. Also, they come bundled with a stylus in case you want to use it to take notes or sketch ideas.
The Amazon Echo Show 15 and 21 have 15” and 21” displays – they are not quite tablets and not quite TVs either, but they can function as either. These are great as control hubs for your smart home.
There are also the Amazon Echo Show 8 and 11, if you don’t care for the large, wall-mounted version. These have dual drivers and a 2.8” woofer in their bases and 8.7” or 11” displays, respectively. These can also control your smart home and they have 13MP cameras for video calls. The larger 15” and 21” models also have cameras, but it may be trickier to get the angle right, depending on where you mount them.
Amazon unveiled the Fire TV Stick 4K (2026) just last week and now it’s half off. It supports HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG (but not Dolby Vision – you want the 4K Max for that), along with the H.264, H.265, VP9 and AV1 codecs. Note that this doesn’t run the Android-based Fire OS but uses the proprietary Vega OS instead.
