Deals: Prime Big Deal Days brings big discounts on flagships, foldables and other phones

Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days start today and end tomorrow. As usual, we have picked out the best offers for smartphones and wearables and we’ve broken them down into categories for easier browsing.

Table of Contents:

Flagships

The Samsung Galaxy S26 trio has various discounts topping out at €735 off for the Ultra model. This means that the Galaxy S26 Ultra starts under €1,000 despite the recent price hike. The Galaxy S26+ starts at €850, while the Galaxy S26 starts at under €700.

As usual, we’ll direct you to our reviews and versus articles for a more in-depth look. The reviews are linked under each phone and here are the versus articles: Galaxy S26 Ultra vs. S25 Ultra, Galaxy S26 Ultra vs. iPhone 17 Pro Max, Galaxy S26 Ultra vs. Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26+ vs. Galaxy S25+.

Moving on to Google’s 2026 flagships, they have smaller discounts, making them more expensive than their Galaxy rivals. The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL is at least €120 more than the S26 Ultra, while the price gap between the Pixel 11 Pro and the vanilla S26 is €250. Or maybe you consider the vanilla Pixel 11 the true S26 rival – even then the Pixel is a lot costlier.

If you need help deciding between the big and small models, we have a Pixel 11 Pro XL vs. Pixel 11 Pro article to help you out. For the small 6.3” models, we have Pixel 11 vs. Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro vs. Pixel 10 Pro.

Foldables

Unfortunately, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is not part of the Prime Day sale, so this is a purely Samsung vs. Motorola fight. And no, iPhones rarely get discounts like this, so even if the iPhone Duo was out (which it isn’t yet), it wouldn’t be here.

We start with the hot new form factor for 2026, the wide foldable represented by the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8. Even with a solid €385 discount, it’s still pretty expensive – and so are most foldables.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is a continuation of the Z Fold7 form factor. Is a wide foldable or a book-style foldable better for you? Check out Galaxy Z Fold8 vs. Z Fold8 Ultra to help you decide. We also have an article detailing the upgrades over the Z Fold7.

The Motorola Razr Fold is cheaper than the Z Fold8 Ultra while offering comparable 6.6” cover and 8.1” inner displays to the Samsung flagship. However, its Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is the non-Elite kind (unlike the Galaxy). The Moto foldable is thicker (10.1mm vs. 8.9mm) and heavier (243g vs. 215g), but at least this comes with a larger battery (6,000mAh vs. 5,000mAh) and faster charging (80W wired and 50W wireless vs. 45W/25W). The Razr Fold has a 50MP main camera (1/1.28”), a 50MP 3x/71mm telephoto and a 50MP ultra-wide compared to 200MP main (1/1.3”), 10MP 3x/69mm telephoto and 50MP ultra-wide.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 has a massive 42% discount on the 256GB model. It features an Exynos 2600 chipset and a 4,300mAh battery with slow 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. It has a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide, plus a 10MP selfie.

The Motorola Razr 70+ costs about the same and while this price buys you double the storage, the phone has an old Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset compared to Z Flip8’s Exynos 2600. The battery is a bit bigger and faster with 4,500mAh capacity, 45W wired and 15W wireless charging (vs. 4,300mAh, 25W/15W).

Premium phones

The Poco F9 Ultra offers Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 performance on a sub-€800 budget. It also has a 6.9” 185Hz Dolby Vision OLED display and an 8,050mAh battery (100W/50W charging). It has a 200MP 1/1.56” main camera, a 50MP 5x/114mm periscope and a 50MP 102° ultra-wide.

The Poco F9 Pro has a pared-back version of the chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series. It has a smaller 6.59” OLED display (185Hz Dolby Vision) and a 6,330mAh battery (100W/50W). It has a 200MP 1/1.56” main camera, a 50MP 2.5x/60mm telephoto and an 8MP 112° ultra-wide.

The Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro offer an alternative to the Poco F9 duo. They are powered by the Dimensity 8500 Ultra and Dimensity 9500, respectively. They have 6.59” and 6.83” displays paired with 6,500mAh and 7,000mAh batteries, respectively. The Pro has the better cameras with a 50MP 1/1.31” main, 50MP 5x/115mm periscope and a 12MP 120° ultra-wide. The F9 Ultra has even better cameras. We have a Xiaomi 17T vs. 17T Pro article to help you decide between the two T-series phones.

Mid-range phones

The Poco X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max cover the more affordable side of things with prices under €300 and under €400, respectively. Here’s how they compare. Like the 17Ts, these come in small and big sizes – 6.59” and 6.83” screens with 6,500mAh and 8,500mAh batteries, respectively. The Poco X8 Pro Max uses the Dimensity 9500s (which is actually based on the Dimensity 9400), while the Pro has the same Dimensity 8500 Ultra as the 17T. The 17T has the better cameras, though, with a 50MP 1/1.55” main (vs. 50MP 1/1.95”), 50MP 5x/115mm telephoto (vs. none) and 12MP 120° ultra-wide (vs. 8MP). The 17T does cost a lot more, so the X8 Pro isn’t easy to dismiss.

The Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro lack the €200 cameras that made their predecessors famous. They have 6.99” and 6.83” displays, respectively – yes, the vanilla model is bigger. However, the Pro has a bigger battery with 8,340mAh capacity and 67W charging, compared to the 7,700mAh battery with 45W charging of the Note 17. The Note 17 is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset and has expandable storage, while the Note 17 Pro uses the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 and misses out on the microSD slot.

vivo just unveiled the V80, but the vivo V70 is still a solid pick – especially with a 19% discount. It has a 6.59” display and a 6,500mAh battery with fast 90W charging. Its triple camera includes a 50MP 1/1.56” main, 50MP 3x/73mm telephoto and an 8MP ultra-wide. The phone is powered by the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 as the V80.

Okay, the price looks like it belongs to the category above, but the iPhone 16 Plus is very much a mid-ranger – a two-year-old mid-ranger at that. It’s the last Plus, so the last cheap model with a larger 6.7” screen (well, cheap is relative). It uses the Apple A18 chipset and has 48+12MP cameras.

The highly repairable Fairphone 6 is on offer as well. Note that this isn’t the Plus version, so it only has 8GB of RAM. Still, this phone comes with a screwdriver and a promise that you can easily replace parts at home.

Entry-level phones

The Samsung Galaxy A17 5G was not spared a price hike, it’s not just the S-series suffering. The Prime Day discount more than makes up for that, however. The phone is basic, but gets the job done – 6.7” 90Hz 1080p+ display, an Exynos 1330 chipset with expandable storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired-only charging and a 50+5MP camera setup. The phone will receive six OS updates, but keep in mind that this is a 2025 model that launched with Android 15.

The Motorola Moto G67 is about the same size with its 6.78” screen and it’s about the same price too. However, this one is a sharper 1,272 x 2,772px display with 10-bit colors and 120Hz refresh rate – compared to the basic 1080p+ 90Hz display on the Galaxy. The Dimensity 6300 isn’t amazing even compared to the Exynos 1330, but the cameras are similar enough with a 50MP main and an 8MP ultra-wide. There’s even a 32MP selfie camera. The battery is 5,200mAh with 30W charging.

Smartwatches

The Apple Watch SE 3 uses the older S10 chip with 64GB storage, just like the Series 10 and 11. There’s no ECG, but it does have the heart rate reader and is water resistant down to 50m.

Samsung’s new Watch9 series isn’t part of the discounts, so we turn our attention to Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic from 2025. That is still the latest model with a rotating bezel if that’s your thing. However, these use the older Exynos W1000 chip. Both have ECG.

The 4G version of the Google Pixel Watch 5 also has satellite SOS – it’s a good backup in case you lose your phone (or if your phone lacks satellite connectivity in the first place).
