Rohde & Schwarz to Demonstrate Technologies Supporting Europe’s Sovereignty and Security at Space Tech Expo Europe

Europe’s satellite sector is evolving as programs such as IRIS² and SATCOMBw, the Bundeswehr’s satellite-based communication system, drive demand for secure, resilient and independently operated satellite infrastructure. At Space Tech Expo Europe 2026, Rohde & Schwarz is addressing this market with test and measurement solutions, RF monitoring and production automation technologies for increasingly complex satellite systems. The exhibits focus on accelerating validation, improving RF performance and simplifying satellite operations. The company will exhibit at the bavAIRia joint stand in Hall 5, Stand H47, in Bremen from 17 to 19 November 2026.

The demonstrations address rising system complexity, cost pressure and shorter development cycles in satellite development. These pressures are reinforced by the shift toward non-terrestrial networks, where satellites in multiple orbits complement 3GPP-based infrastructure to extend coverage to remote and underserved areas, while performing comparable terrestrial functions. Reliable testing, secure monitoring and scalable production capabilities are essential for building sovereign satellite infrastructure in Europe.
