Samsung Galaxy Fit4 might have NFC for payments

The Samsung Galaxy Fit3, launched in February 2024, is due for a successor. Rumors claim the Galaxy Fit4 will arrive this year, with recent leaks revealing its design and key features. There’s no word from Samsung about the Galaxy Fit4’s launch; however, it has published the Galaxy Fit4 Manager app on the Galaxy Store, and the screenshots in the listing hint at NFC support.

One screenshot in the listing, attached below, shows a “Wallet” option in the app’s menu. It’s obscure and behind the bottom navigation bar. This suggests the Galaxy Fit4 may let users make payments with credit/debit cards stored in the Samsung Wallet app, which would require NFC on the Fit4. If the Fit4 does support NFC, it would be the first in the Fit series to include that chip.

However, the Galaxy Fit4’s FCC listing doesn’t mention NFC; it only mentions Bluetooth connectivity, so we’ll need confirmation from other sources to be sure about NFC support.

That said, the screenshots included in the app listing indicate the Galaxy Fit4 will have built-in apps, tiles, and customizable watch faces. It likely also has a speaker.

Two screenshots also show the Fit4’s battery level at 100%, with the estimated remaining battery time being 4 days and 3 hours. We hope that’s just a placeholder, as the Galaxy Fit3 was launched with an advertised battery life of 13 days.
