PCTEL Launches Tactical RF Intelligence Platform with AI-Based Signal Classification

PCTEL announced two new solutions for mission-critical RF intelligence and spectrum monitoring: the SeeHawk® Scout tactical signal intelligence platform and a Base Station Location Estimation solution. The company demonstrated both solutions at Mobile World Congress 2026, Barcelona, Hall 2, Stand 2F40, from March 2 to 5, 2026.

SeeHawk Scout is designed to detect, identify, locate, and monitor RF signals for intelligence, spectrum management, regulatory, and security applications. The platform combines I/Q streaming, cellular signal decoding, and integrated AI-based signal classification using DeepSig’s OmniSIG spectrum awareness software within a single, portable, and autonomous system.

Key Platform Features Include:

  • Autonomous operation
  • Real-time RF signal detection and 2G-5G decoding
  • I/Q streaming with AI-powered signal classification
  • Frequency coverage up to 48 GHz with 100 MHz IF
  • Optional Base Station Location Estimation
  • Portable, lightweight, battery-powered design

The Base Station Location Estimation solution enables detection and probable location estimation of cellular base stations, including rogue or unauthorized transmitters. It is available as a software option for SeeHawk Scout or as a standalone feature within SeeHawk Collect network testing software for use with PCTEL scanning receivers.

OmniSIG® is built to operate across diverse and demanding RF environments,” says DeepSig CEO Jim Shea. “Partnering with PCTEL pairs real-time, AI-driven signal identification with deep 2G to 5G cellular decoding, giving customers practical spectrum intelligence to identify and mitigate interference across commercial cellular, public safety, defense, satellite, critical infrastructure, and drone activity, all within a single portable platform.”
