R2 Wireless, a security technology company developing passive RF spectrum awareness solutions, has raised more than $5 million in new funding, bringing its total capital raised to over $13 million. The funding will support the company’s expansion in the United States, including additional engineering hires and new defense and commercial partnerships following deployments in Europe and the Middle East.
The company’s Odin spectrum dominance platform passively monitors radio frequency signals to detect, classify, and geolocate transmissions from sources including drones, cellular devices, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth systems, and rogue RF emitters. Unlike conventional RF detection systems designed for stable environments and known protocols, the Odin platform is intended to operate in congested and contested RF environments where anonymized threats are increasingly common.
According to R2 Wireless, the system provides RF visibility without transmitting signals, requiring spectrum permits, or introducing privacy concerns. The platform learns the RF environment in real time to help military, government, and critical infrastructure operators identify potential threats and risks before taking action.
The company recently entered into a formal agreement with a NATO member nation’s Ministry of Defense and also signed a strategic partnership with a major European energy infrastructure provider. R2 Wireless was also named a winner in the U.S. Army’s xTech Disrupt competition in the counter-UAS category.

We’re building systems designed not just for performance, but for survivability in environments where failure isn’t an option.”
With increasing demand for spectrum awareness capabilities, the company is expanding its U.S. operations and collaborating with industry partners, including Allan Control Systems, to support integrated detection and response solutions. The Odin platform is also being deployed with organizations including the U.S. Department of War, the Department of Homeland Security, and emergency response agencies.
R2 Wireless also announced that retired United States Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel and former TOPGUN instructor David Berke has joined the company’s advisory board. Berke has flown multiple fighter aircraft platforms, including the F-16, F-18, F-22, and F-35, and has experience in operational combat missions and modern combat aviation strategy.
According to Berke, spectrum resilience is becoming as critical to modern warfare as traditional kinetic capabilities. He noted that the RF environment is increasingly congested and contested, requiring adaptable and intelligent defense technologies.
Developed in Israel and the United States, the Odin spectrum awareness platform has been deployed in operational environments across the Middle East and Europe and validated through real-world testing with U.S. defense organizations. R2 Wireless plans to scale the platform across U.S. defense, public safety, and critical infrastructure sectors to provide enhanced visibility into RF-based threats.
