Redmi is working on three smartphones with 10,000 mAh batteries

According to a new rumor from the prolific Digital Chat Station on Weibo, Redmi is currently working on not one, not two, but three different smartphones which will all have a 10,000 mAh battery.

The battery used in these handsets will be single-cell (so no chance of seeing it in the EU unfortunately), and will support 100W wired charging. The devices that will use it will be both in the mainstream Note line, as well as in the performance-oriented K series.

The Redmi Notes in China have, in recent years, either been quite different from their similarly-named international counterparts, or, last time around, launched many months in advance. The K series, on the other hand, is exclusive to China, but some of its members do sometimes launch internationally rebranded as Poco devices, so perhaps this means there’s a chance we’ll see a Poco or two with a 10,000 mAh battery in the coming months – but only in Asia.
