Septentrio Introduces Early Access LEO PNT Research Receiver for Signal Tracking and Analysis

Septentrio has introduced LeoRx, an early-access Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) research receiver developed to support investigation into emerging navigation technologies. The receiver is designed to work alongside existing GNSS systems and enable experimentation with new signal sources, particularly those being developed for LEO based PNT.

LeoRx is the company’s first GNSS reference receiver with support for LEO PNT signals. It enables tracking, demodulation, and analysis of X1 and X5 signals from Xona Space Systems, while delivering low-noise measurements and reduced cycle slips. The system is built on Septentrio’s reference receiver platform and draws from its PolaRx product line.

The receiver is intended for use in research and early-stage development across sectors such as defense, assured PNT (APNT), telecommunications, timing infrastructure, and rail. It is positioned as a tool for evaluating LEO PNT as an additional layer of resilience in positioning and timing applications, particularly in scenarios where GNSS signals may be limited or disrupted.

LeoRx is being released in a limited early-access phase, with only 50 units available globally. The product is designated for research and evaluation purposes and is not positioned as a commercial deployment solution at this stage.
