As much as I adore a good thriller, but psychological thrillers have always held a special place in my heart. Probably because horror is one of my favorite genres, and I love a movie so twisted and dripping with suspense that it haunts my thoughts long after the credits roll.
None of these movies are exactly breezy watches, but if you’re after thrillers packed with paranoia, nerve-wracking tension, and sharp twists, then these three movies are just the shot of adrenaline you’re looking for. Even better, they’re all currently streaming on Prime Video, with several added just this month.

‘What We Hide’ (2025)
“What We Hide” follows two sisters, Spider (Mckenna Grace) and Jessie (Jojo Regina), whose lives unravel after their mother dies unexpectedly from a drug overdose. Terrified of being split up in foster care, they make the risky choice to hide her death from everyone. As they struggle to keep up appearances, the weight of their secret grows harder to manage. Especially after Sheriff Ben Jeffries (Jesse Williams) begins to notice things don’t quite add up. The sisters dig themselves in even deeper when their mother’s boyfriend Reece (Dacre Montgomery) resurfaces alongside other figures from her past. Amid it all, Spider’s budding friendship with a local teen named Cody (Forrest Goodluck) could blow the lid on everything.

A deliciously unsettling experience, “The Menu” is a satirical thriller that deliberately slow-cooks its tension, leaving a trail of crumbs that’ll intrigue and suck you in before you know it. It follows a group of wealthy diners who travel to a remote island for a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience at a restaurant helmed by the acclaimed Chef Julian (Ralph Fiennes). Among the guests are Tyler (Nicholas Hoult), an insufferable foodie with a punchable face, and his skeptic date Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy). Without spoiling too much, it’s enough to say that as the courses roll out, it becomes clear that this dining experience is far more sinister than they anticipated.

‘The Wolf of Snow Hollow’ (2020)
Though it leans more horror than thriller, “The Wolf of Snow Hollow” still packs plenty of tension thanks to its secluded mountain setting, where a series of brutal killings rock a small town. New bodies emerge after each full moon, hinting at something supernatural behind the attacks. On the case is John Marshall (Jim Cummings), a stressed-out cop struggling with alcoholism while caring for his ailing father, the town’s sheriff (Robert Forster). As the body count rises and panic spreads, the locals become convinced a werewolf is responsible. But John is determined to find a rational explanation, even as the evidence seems to point in increasingly bizarre directions.
