Honor Magic9 said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC

Recent leaks surrounding the upcoming Honor Magic9 suggest that the phone could feature a 6.36-inch display and a large 8,000mAh battery. Now, a fresh leak has revealed additional details about the compact smartphone.

Tipster Digital Chat Station is back with another leak, this time claiming that the Honor Magic9 will be powered by the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Interestingly, its predecessor, the Honor Magic8, uses the same SoC.

Back in March, the same tipster had claimed that the handset would feature a 200MP primary rear camera, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 64MP periscope telephoto camera.

The tipster has now shared additional details about the zoom camera, which is once again tipped to be a 64MP unit based on an upgraded version of the OV64D sensor.

Additionally, the Honor Magic9 is tipped to feature wireless charging, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and IP68/IP69-rated dust and water resistance.
