At the International Microwave Symposium (IMS 2026) in Boston, Rohde & Schwarz will present its newest test instrumentation. IMS 2026 is the world’s premier RF and microwave conference, bringing together thousands of industry professionals from around the globe to explore the latest technologies, tools, and technical developments. Attendees are invited to stop by not only to see highlights like the game-changing FSWX signal and spectrum analyzer, updates to the tried and tested R&S FSWP phase noise analyzer as well as the expansion of the vector network analyzer R&S ZNB3000 up to sub-millimeter wave, but also to meet the application team who enables RF engineers to measure the impossible. With the VNA Application Passport challenge, the company organizes a fun way to experience a variety of solutions across the many partner booths at the event.
When precision is non-negotiable and advancement drives innovation, engineers trust the tools and expertise that enable them to Measure the Impossible. Meet the professionals behind the scenes and discover how Rohde & Schwarz is leading the way in cutting-edge design and dedicated service. This year at the International Microwave Symposium (IMS 2026), the Rohde & Schwarz team will showcase at booth #14035 the company’s latest innovations.
FSWX signal and spectrum analyzerAmong these highlights is the game-changing FSWX signal and spectrum analyzer. Featuring its novel architecture that combines multiple input ports with cross-correlation techniques, the analyzer allows for completely new measurement scenarios in RF system testing. The FSWX Series from Rohde & Schwarz are Multi-Channel Signal and Spectrum Analyzers that operate from 100 Hz to 44 GHz. They are designed to surpass traditional measurement limitations and to deliver exceptional signal clarity and dynamic range. These spectrum analyzers use a novel multipath architecture with cross-correlation to suppress internal noise, delivering an ultra-clear view of the device under test (DUT). This architecture lowers noise to the physical limit, enabling exceptional dynamic range in noise, phase noise, and spurious performance. It also supports wideband, phase-coherent signal capture across the same or different frequencies, ideal for measuring antenna phase relationships in MIMO systems and enhancing threat detection.
In addition, Rohde & Schwarz will showcase updates for its R&S®FSWP , the industry reference for phase noise testing. Besides a frequency range extension up to 56 GHz, the phase noise analyzer’s capabilities have been expanded for additive and residual phase noise measurements and the support of external high-end sources as local oscillators.
R&S®ZNB3000 VNAThe R&S®ZNB3000 will also be in the focus at the company’s booth. The VNA family set a new benchmark for general purpose vector network analyzers by combining high measurement speed and precision with exceptional RF performance with frequencies ranging from 9 kHz to 54 GHz. Now, the R&S ZNB3000 provides an economical solution for applications that extend to waveguide banded frequency ranges up to 330 GHz, combined with the respective mmWave converters like the R&S®ZCxxx , as well as 3rd party converters.
R&S®BBA300 broadband solid-state amplifiersThe newly released R&S®BBA300 broadband solid-state amplifiers deliver up to 90 W in frequencies ranging from 380 MHz up to 18 GHz in a single 4U instrument. The R&S BBA300-DE500 and R&S BBA300-DE1000 models now cover power requirements of 500 W and 1,000 W over a frequency range from 1 to 6 GHz without band switching.
This year, Rohde & Schwarz builds on its popular 2025 IMS solution partner passport challenge with the 2026 VNA Applications Passport.
