Abracon Unveils New L1/L2/L5/L6 GNSS Patch Antennas to Enhance Signal Integrity in Challenging Environments

Abracon has introduced two new low axial-ratio GNSS patch antennas to its portfolio designed to improve positioning accuracy in challenging RF environments. The antennas are engineered to address issues such as multipath interference, urban canyon signal degradation, and increasing RF congestion, which continue to impact the reliability of GNSS-based positioning systems. The new antenna portfolio is intended for next-generation high-precision positioning systems that require improved circular polarization performance and reliable satellite reception under difficult operating conditions. Typical applications include RTK positioning, robotics, UAVs, telematics, smart agriculture, and intelligent transportation systems.

AANI-PP-0234 Multi-Band GNSS Antenna

One of the new products in the portfolio is the AANI-PP-0234 quad-feed GNSS patch antenna, which supports multi-band operation across L1, L2, L5, and L6 frequency bands. The antenna is housed in a 50 × 50 × 10 mm form factor and delivers an axial ratio of less than 2.5 dB, peak gain up to 5.2 dBic, and efficiency reaching 89%.

The antenna is designed for high-precision GNSS applications requiring reliable multi-band satellite reception and improved signal integrity in dense or interference-prone operating environments.

AANI-PP-0237 Compact GNSS Antenna

For space-constrained designs, Abracon has also introduced the AANI-PP-0237 GNSS patch antenna. The compact antenna supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou L1 operation within a 25 × 25 × 4 mm footprint.

The antenna provides an axial ratio below 2.9 dB, peak gain of 4.1 dBic, and efficiency up to 74%, making it suitable for compact positioning systems and embedded navigation platforms.

The antennas support multiple GNSS constellations and frequency bands while offering lightweight construction, compact form factors, and mounting options including through-hole and adhesive integration.
