The Narda-MITEQ team announced the release of several new products and product enhancements unveiled at IMS2026. These additions further expand their portfolio of high performance RF and microwave solutions specifically focused on the exciting markets of space and cryogenic related activity.
Space Low Noise Amplifiers (SLNA)
Narda-MITEQ’s SLNA family of low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) are commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions designed for space flight applications, ranging from LEO to deep space missions.
- Frequency Range: 100 MHz to 40 GHz (VHF to Ka-Band)
- Gain Options: 30 dB, 40 dB, or 50 dB
- Screening Levels: From NASA EEE-INST-002 Level 3 to MIL-PRF-38534 Class K.
Leveraging Narda-MITEQ’s extensive and long-standing space heritage in low-noise amplifier technology, the SLNAs use hermetically sealed Kovar housings, provide radiation tolerance up to 200 krad and utilize materials and processes with proven flight record while simultaneously reducing mission risk and delivering substantial cost and lead-time savings.
Cryogenic Low Noise Amplifiers (CLNA)
Narda-MITEQ has supplied cryogenic amplifiers for years. Typically, customers provide the cryogenic cooling, but Narada have supplied some amplifiers with built-in cryogenic cooling systems. The broadband low noise cryogenic amplifiers are often of interest to radio astronomers for use in radiometers and most recently quantum computing.
Narda-MITEQ is extending their cryogenic LNA offering with an addition of high performance CLNA series specifically designed and qualified for operation at sub-cryogenic temperature down to 4K.
Superior performance of the new CLNA series is enabled by use of advanced semiconductor transistors and leverage of Narda’s experience with the design and manufacture of electronic components for use at cryogenic and sub-cryogenic temperatures.
Broadband Ultra Low Noise Amplifiers (ULNA)
Narda-MITEQ’s Ultra Low Noise Amplifiers (ULNAs) offer reduced noise figure while maintaining gain, linear power and mechanical outline of Narda-MITEQ general-purpose LNA series amplifiers now available with broadband coverage from VHF to Ka-Band (0.1 to 40 GHz).
The ULNA amplifiers use InP-based HEMTs to enable the ultra-low noise performance and leverage Narda-MITEQ’s extensive expertise with design and fabrication of low-noise amplifiers for high frequency applications, challenging applications and harsh environments.
Key features of Narda-MITEQ’s ULNAs series:
- Ultra-Low Noise with up to 0.5dB reduction in NF from 2 to 18 GHz vs. standard LNA series
- Broadband frequency coverage from VHF (100 MHz) to Ka-band (40 GHz)
- Selection of gain levels from 25 to 40 dB and linear power levels from 5 to 15 dBm
- Use of standard LNA outlines in aluminum or kovar with hermetic seal options.
