This specific model vacuums and mops, which is great for crumbs and stickier messes. The dock can automatically empty the dustbin for up to 90 days, wash the mop pads, refill water, and even heat-dry the pads after a clean.
For pet owners, the Roomba 415X uses dual rubber brushes that are designed to pick up pet hair without always getting tangled. iRobot also claims up to 20,000Pa of suction power. That’s pretty good, but suction power doesn’t tell the full story. In real-world use, navigation and obstacle avoidance matter just as much as raw power.
Speaking of, the robot also uses LiDAR mapping as well as obstacle recognition. So it should be able to drive around things like cords and toys and whatever else you’ve got lying around on the floor.
Another interesting detail is the slimmer design, which should help it reach under more furniture. That’s where dust and pet hair tend to collect.
$399.99 is an incredible price for all of that functionality. If you’re considering a robot vacuum that can handle daily vacuuming and light mopping, this is one of the stronger Prime Day offers right now.
