paraPA Inc., a Korea-based RF semiconductor company, announces a new lineup of GaN front-end modules (FEMs) for X-band radar transmit/receive applications, including AESA radars and space-borne SAR systems.
The lineup includes the FR100XQ4 and FR100XQ3 — compact X-band (8–11 GHz) FEMs in QFN packages measuring just 7 × 7 × 1.0 mm and 6 × 6 × 1.0 mm, respectively. The FR100XQ4 delivers 10 W with an integrated T/R switch, while the FR100XQ3 delivers 15 W without switch, with typical power-added efficiency (PAE) of ~36 percent and ~44 percent, respectively. Both modules are optimized for active phased array radar applications where size, efficiency and integration are critical.
The FR100XQ4 and FR100XQ3 are backed by paraPA’s broader RF portfolio, which spans in-house GaN and GaAs MMICs, GaN Doherty PA modules and S/X-band limiters.
As an ITAR-free Korean design house with in-house MMIC design capability, paraPA offers defense, radar and satellite system integrators an alternative supply path independent of U.S. export controls — meeting growing global demand for supply chain flexibility.
“paraPA was founded to bring high performance, integration-rich RF semiconductor solutions to defense and space customers who require both technical excellence and supply chain flexibility,” said Youngoo Yang, CEO and Founder of paraPA. “Our X-band front-end portfolio, combined with our in-house GaN and GaAs MMIC design capability, allows us to deliver compact, efficient T/R solutions tailored to next-generation AESA and SAR systems.”
Samples of both modules are available now. Datasheets and product information are available at www.para-pa.com.
