At IMS 2026, everything RF met Pete Stoermer, National Sales Director at UNI-T, who introduced the company’s latest RF test and measurement solutions, including the UTS-7000A Spectrum Analyzer, USG Signal Generator series, and UTS-3000A Signal Analyzer. The instruments are designed for RF development, validation, signal analysis, and EMI testing across a wide range of applications.
Pete showcased the UTS-7000A Spectrum Analyzer, which is available with frequency coverage from 2 Hz to 13.6 GHz, 26.5 GHz, 32 GHz, or 40 GHz, depending on the model. The analyzer includes a built-in 40 MHz real-time spectrum analysis bandwidth, which can be expanded to 255 MHz. It also offers a displayed average noise level (DANL) of up to-167 dBm, phase noise performance better than 110 dBc/Hz at a 10 kHz offset, and supports advanced measurement functions including vector signal analysis, IQ analysis, analog demodulation, EMI analysis, and optional 4G LTE and 5G NR signal demodulation. The instrument also supports CISPR-compliant EMI testing and features an 11.6-inch touchscreen display.
Stoermer also highlighted UNI-T’s USG Signal Generator family, available in both analog and vector configurations. The generators are offered with frequency ranges extending from 6.5 GHz in the USG 3000 series to 22 GHz in the USG 5000 series. Users can select models with either mechanical or electronic attenuation options, providing flexibility for RF design, receiver testing, and signal simulation applications.
Another product he demonstrated was the UTS-3000A Signal Analyzer, a multifunction instrument that combines spectrum analysis, vector network analysis, and signal analysis capabilities in a single platform. The analyzer covers frequencies from 9 kHz to 8.4 GHz and provides S11 and S21 measurements through its integrated two-port VNA functionality. It also includes real-time spectrum analysis with optional 40 MHz bandwidth, vector signal analysis for modulation formats including ASK, FSK, PSK, QAM, and MSK, analog demodulation for AM, FM, and PM signals, phase noise analysis, and optional EMI pre-compliance testing capabilities. The analyzer offers a DANL of 165 dBm and phase noise performance of 102 dBc/Hz at a 10 kHz offset.
With the introduction of the UTS-7000A, USG Signal Generators, and UTS-3000A, UNI-T is expanding its RF test portfolio with instruments that combine spectrum analysis, signal generation, network analysis, and EMI measurement capabilities for engineers working in wireless communications, aerospace, defense, and general RF development applications.
