It’s not uncommon for Caviar to kick off pre-orders on customized unannounced hardware. That has happened in the past. However, this time the way things are laid out seems a bit bold even for the Russian company. It already has its custom designs listed for both the iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max and the much-anticipated iPhone Ultra. We’ll certainly go over these renders, but first things first: Caviar boldly and unequivocally proclaims that the Apple launch event will be held on September 9. To be fair, that date is a pretty good guess, based on historical evidence and particularly Apple’s avoidance of the day after Labor Day.
So there’s one detail in the bag. But it only gets more interesting from there, since Caviar has dedicated pages (at least they are up at the time of writing) for both the iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max and the iPhone Ultra full of what are claimed to be “insider” details. To be fair, we have no way of verifying that claim, and most of the details are things that we have heard rumors about already. Still, let’s start with the iPhone 18 Pro pair. Right off the bat, allegedly there will be a new signature color – Dark Cherry. The other official Apple colors will be silver, gray and light blue.
Apparently, the display diagonals won’t be changed this year – 6.9 inches and 6.3 inches, but the Dynamic Island will become noticeably smaller, since Apple has managed to integrate some Face ID components directly under the display.
The page then also mentions the 2nm Apple A20 Pro chip, which we have heard about before, as well as variable aperture for the main camera – another widely discussed possibility. The next alleged change will be to the dedicated Camera Control button. While on the iPhone 17 generation it already has a touch surface, force sensor and taptic feedback, a hard press on it does click and activate an actual button underneath. Apparently now there will be no physical actuation at all. Finally, the page mentions that the phone will be “slightly thicker” and will house a 5100–5200 mAh battery. Again, both of these do coincide with active rumors and the fact that the Caviar page is so vague here does make us wonder whether they actually know something or are simply rehashing leaks.

iPhone 18 Pro/18 Pro Max Caviar lineup
Moving on to the iPhone Ultra “insider” details page that, according to the Wayback Machine, has only been alive for a day or so as of writing. Again, it’s not like we lack plenty of leaks on this device either, but it is still interesting to see information laid out in such an authoritative manner.
As per the page, the iPhone Ultra will have a durable titanium frame with a hinge mechanism crafted from liquid metal (amorphous alloy). It will measure 4.9mm unfolded and around 9mm folded. Apple’s color options will include deep black and pure white.
The displays will apparently both be 120Hz with LTPO tech (we assumed as much too) and measure 7.8 inches on the inside in a “book-like” 4:3 aspect and 5.3 inches on the outside. The page notes an Apple A20 Pro chip, just like on the iPhone 18 Pro pair, but also mentions 12GB of RAM. Unlike the iPhone 18 Pro details page, here Caviar says the A20 Pro chip is made on a 3nm process? Most sources quote 2nm thus far. Either way, pretty sloppy inconsistency across the two pages.
For cameras, there will apparently be two 48MP units on the back, which most other sources already assumed, but interestingly enough, a 24MP selfie and moreover an under-display one. Now that’s interesting. We’ve only heard of an 18MP selfie camera thus far. Battery capacity is said to be a whopping 5,800 mAh. The most we’ve heard so far is just shy of 5,000 mAh, which seems a lot more achievable.

Honestly, we personally wouldn’t put all of our trust in this “insider” scoop. It kind of feels more like a leak and rumor roundup with some good-looking renders. Still, it is a great curiosity, if nothing else, and who knows, perhaps Caviar does have some information.
