
CesiumAstro has acquired Jariet Technologies, a company that develops mmWave RF System-on-Chip (RF-SoC) semiconductor solutions for satellite communications (SATCOM), electronic warfare (EW), and radar systems. Jariet’s technology combines direct RF and IF sampling with digital signal processing for digital beamforming and wideband RF signal processing in space, aerospace, and defense applications.
The acquisition is intended to expand CesiumAstro’s vertically integrated satellite communications capabilities by adding semiconductor design expertise to its portfolio. The combined technologies span mixed-signal semiconductors, digital signal processing, active phased arrays, software-defined payloads, communications software, satellites, and terrestrial communications and ISR systems.
Bringing semiconductor development in-house will provide greater control over RF signal chain performance and allow closer integration of silicon, hardware, software, and mission systems. It expects this to help reduce system size, weight, power consumption, cost, and complexity across space and terrestrial platforms. The acquisition also strengthens access to U.S.-based semiconductor technology and supports supply chain resilience for defense and national security applications.

CesiumAstro will continue supporting its existing communications payload, satellite platform, and communications system customers across commercial, government, international, and national security markets.
Jariet Technologies develops direct RF signal-processing integrated circuits and high-speed data converter technologies for software-defined systems with multi-band and multi-function capabilities. The company has also established a U.S.-based semiconductor supply chain and developed RF chiplet production technology for integrated RF solutions. Its engineering team, semiconductor intellectual property, and manufacturing expertise will be integrated into CesiumAstro’s technology portfolio.

The companies plan to develop new application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) by combining Jariet’s semiconductor and RF expertise with CesiumAstro’s experience in software-defined communications, phased arrays, payloads, and space systems. The combined technology roadmap is expected to support future semiconductor and system-level products for commercial, government, and defense markets.
The acquisition follows CesiumAstro’s earlier acquisition of Vidrovr, an AI company focused on real-time multimodal signal analysis. With the addition of Jariet, CesiumAstro expands its capabilities across a broader technology stack, ranging from RF semiconductors and signal conversion technologies to communications payloads, satellites, onboard processing, and mission systems. These investments support the development of their software-defined communications and ISR systems for space and defense applications.
