Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Note 17 Pro in China in July and later introduced it globally in August alongside the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. It started teasing the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max in India last week, and today the company said the Redmi Note 17 Pro series will debut in India on September 15.

Xiaomi hasn’t explicitly named the smartphones, but the images it shared on its official Indian website and social media account include the global Redmi Note 17 Pro and the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.
Furthermore, the promo page Xiaomi set up on its Indian website says the Redmi Note 17 Pro series will pack a 10,000 mAh battery. That would be true only for the Pro Max, which comes with a 9,210 mAh battery in some regions. The global Redmi Note 17 Pro has an 8,340 mAh battery, unlike the Chinese model, which uses a 9,000 mAh cell.
