Honor Magic9 series said to include a Super Edition with an 11,000mAh battery


Honor recently revealed the design of its upcoming Magic9 series but did not share any specs. A recent leak suggested that Honor would launch two models, but a new one now claims that the lineup will include the base Magic9, Magic9 Pro Max, and a Magic9 Super Edition.

According to a tipster on Weibo, the entire Honor Magic9 series will use the same rear camera design showcased in recent official renders.

The tipster claims that the Magic9 Super Edition will feature a 6.8-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It is said to pack a 200MP primary rear camera alongside 12MP and 50MP sensors. However, the camera setup reportedly will not feature ARRI branding.

The highlight of the Super Edition is said to be its massive 11,000mAh battery. The phone is also tipped to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a built-in cooling fan, a fiberglass body, and a single front-facing camera.

Meanwhile, the Honor Magic9 is said to feature a 6.37-inch display and an 8,000mAh battery. The phone is also tipped to pack dual 200MP rear cameras co-developed with ARRI, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and a single 3D front-facing camera.

Lastly, the Honor Magic9 Pro Max is reportedly set to feature a 6.8-inch display and a metal body. The flagship is also said to offer dual 200MP rear cameras, a 1:1 front-facing camera sensor paired with a 3D ToF camera, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme chipset, and an 8,800mAh battery.

The Honor Magic9 series is set to launch on September 28. Interested customers can already pre-order the phones through Honor’s official online store in China.
