Blizzard finally announced Diablo IV for the Switch 2 last week, and if you’re curious to know how it will look and run on Nintendo’s hybrid system, we’ve now got the official details.
According to an FAQ on Blizzard’s forums, there’ll be two graphics settings in the Age of Hatred Collection on Switch 2. This includes a “Quality Mode”, running at 1440p in docked, and “Performance Mode”, targeting 40fps across both modes. Here’s the full rundown:

Quality Mode
- 30 fps at 1080p in handheld mode
- 30 fps at 1440p in docked mode
Performance Mode
- Handheld: 40 FPS at 1080p
- Docked: 40 FPS at 1080p*
*Docked Performance Mode requires a compatible display with a refresh rate of 120Hz or higher.
Blizzard has also detailed some other features in the Switch 2 version of Diablo IV. This includes touch screen controls, mouse and keyboard support via USB, controller rumble, multiple accessibility features, and GameChat support.
And if you’re an existing player, you can also continue your adventure with cross-progression. You’ll need to link your Battle.net account for this.
Cross-play is also supported, and purchases across systems carry over. Blizzard has also clarified you can play without a Switch Online Membership, but you’ll still need an internet connection:

– Open-world activities
– Couch co-op
– The Tower and Leaderboards
