Yesterday, Xiaomi unveiled the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max in China. Less than 24 hours later, the company has already officially confirmed that the “Xiaomi 18 Pro series” (so, both phones) will be getting global launches at some point in the future.

There’s an interesting twist, however (or maybe we’re just reading too much into tiny details – it remains to be seen). While Xu Fei explicitly calls it the “Xiaomi 18 Pro series”, strongly hinting at the fact that both handsets will be launched globally, the Xiaomi India account on X only mentions the 18 Pro.
So this could mean that the 18 Pro Max won’t be available in India, while it will be launched in other global markets. Of course, this is definitely going to get cleared up in the run-up to the global launch, but it’s something to keep in mind nevertheless.
The 18 Pro has a 6.4-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with 1120×2436 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 4,000-nit peak brightness, and a 2.7-inch LTPO AMOLED rear screen with 596×976 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 4,000-nit peak brightness.
It’s powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, paired with 12/16GB of RAM, and 256/512GB/1TB of storage. It has a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 200MP periscope telephoto with OIS and 3.2x optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide, a 50MP selfie camera, and a 7,000 mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. It runs Android 17 with HyperOS 4 on top. It has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is bigger, with a 6.9-inch display boasting 1208×2624 resolution. Its rear screen is larger too, at 2.9″, and it’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 SoC, while also sporting a beefier 8,500 mAh battery.
