Honor is making the Magic9 series official on September 28, but ahead of that today the company’s CEO, Li Jian, has revealed the pricing for the vanilla Magic9 – or rather, one version of it, the one with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. This will have a normal price of CNY 6,499 ($968), but there will be a special price of CNY 5,999 ($893) in celebration of the Magic series’ tenth anniversary. There’s also a Chinese national subsidy that can take it down to CNY 5,499 ($819).
For comparison, note that the recently launched vivo X500 goes for CNY 5,999 ($893) with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage (it has no 16GB option). The directly comparable 16/512GB vivo X500 Pro costs CNY 7,999 ($1,191), exactly as much as the Xiaomi 18 Pro, while the Oppo Find X10 is CNY 6,499 ($968).
The Magic9 has been rumored to sport a 6.37-inch 1236×2664 LTPS OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC at the helm, a 200MP main camera using a 1/1.4″ type sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, a 200MP periscope telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom using a 1/1.56″ type sensor, a 55MP square-format selfie camera, and an 8,000 mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
