Got Google Play Points? Play Fest will let you turn them into swag, premium gear, and big prizes

Have some Google Play Points burning a hole in your pocket? Good news for you, Google is getting ready to celebrate Play Fest. The company promises this will be one of the biggest Play events ever.

The upcoming rewards and gaming event will start on October 13 and run until October 19. Google is making a big deal out of Play Fest, as it will be the first time Google Play is combining deals and rewards. You’ll also have chances to boost the amount of Play Points you earn and join leagues to compete on leaderboards.

The biggest draw of this event will be the sweepstakes, where there will be thousands of prizes up for grabs. When you redeem your Play Points, you’ll have chances to win exclusive swag, premium gear, tickets to major global sporting events, and more.

As for deals, the company is dropping discounts on top apps, games, books, and devices. The purchases you make will earn you more points than usual, and Play Pass subscribers get double the points and 6x the boosts. Book purchases will be the most beneficial, earning you up to 15x the points. Depending on the payment method you use, like Venmo, you may also get special promotions. Google also mentions exclusive offers on select digital gift cards.

You’ll be able to exchange your collected Play Points to get limited edition tech products, Google merchandise, and more. Additionally, as your Play Points level increases, Google says you’ll be able to get premium prizes.

However, if you’re not interested in making purchases or spending points, you’ll be able to earn rewards by joining the Angry Birds 2 league. Ranking in the leaderboard will give you a chance to win a prize. Google says that more leagues will open up during the promotion, including Free Fire and 8 Ball Pool.
