TL;DR
- Samsung has increased the price of its Galaxy A phones in the US.
- The price hikes affect the Galaxy A57 5G, Galaxy A37 5G, Galaxy A27 5G, and Galaxy A17 5G.
- This latest round of increases also comes after the Galaxy A17 5G received a $50 price hike in August.
Plenty of smartphones have launched with higher prices in 2026 due to the RAM crisis, including Samsung’s own Galaxy A series phones. Unfortunately, there’s more bad news for these mid-range Galaxy devices.
Samsung has issued price hikes for several Galaxy A series phones in the US. The Galaxy A57 5G now starts at $599.99 (was $549.99), the Galaxy A37 5G now starts at $489.99 (was $449.99), the Galaxy A27 5G costs $379.99 (was $349.99), and the Galaxy A17 5G costs $269.99 (was $249.99).
The Galaxy A17 5G in particular launched at $199.99, but already received a $50 price hike to $249.99 in August. That means you’re actually looking at a $70 increase over the launch price. You’re otherwise looking at $30 to $50 price hikes at the very least for the other models.
These new prices are also a bitter pill to swallow compared to last year’s Galaxy A models. The Galaxy A56 5G started at $500, and the Galaxy A36 5G started at $400. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A26 5G started at $300, and the Galaxy A16 5G launched at $200.
Needless to say, you’re probably better off buying an older phone instead or holding on to your current device for a little longer. But we can also wholeheartedly recommend the $500 Google Pixel 10a over the Galaxy A37 5G and A57 5G in particular. After all, the Galaxy A57 5G now costs $100 more than the Pixel, while the A37 5G is only $10 cheaper.
