300 server racks, 9,600 GPUs worth 7500x RTX 5090 GPUs

An IT hardware reseller has listed a decommissioned NVIDIA AI supercomputer on eBay for $59.7 million, or best offer. The seller, Core 4 Solutions, is offering 300 server racks containing 9,600 NVIDIA A100 accelerators and 4,200 AMD EPYC processors. And yes, the listing includes free FedEx Ground shipping. Buyers in a hurry can even select overnight delivery for just $50.
The hardware comes from a decommissioned hyperscaler environment and uses NVIDIA A100 40GB SXM4 accelerators based on the Ampere architecture introduced in 2020. Each rack contains four compute nodes with eight GPUs each, alongside management systems and networking equipment. The complete configuration includes 268,800 Zen 2 CPU cores, 384TB of GPU memory and approximately 1.4PB of combined system memory.
© EBAYAt $59.7 million, the asking price is equivalent to nearly 29,865 GeForce RTX 5090 graphics cards at NVIDIA’s official $1,999 MSRP. Or closer to 7500 units at current prices. Of course, this comparison is purely financial, since the A100 is a data center accelerator rather than a gaming GPU. The asking price works out to approximately $6,219 per A100, although that also covers the processors, memory, networking hardware and server racks. The seller also offers individual 32-GPU racks for $199,000.
The bulk listing has since ended with the item marked as no longer available, although there is no confirmation that a sale took place.
